Biography: 

Karen was awarded her PhD in virology from the University of Warwick, U.K. in late 2009. She moved to Australia in late 2011 to begin an ARC Super Science Fellowship at the Austrlaian Insititute of Marine Science in Townsville, researching coral-reef-associated viruses. In late 2017, Karen began her CSIRO Fellowship based at the University of Queensland.
